Yeong Seak Ling and Yuen Chee Ling received the rare honour as
" Excellent Artists of the World" - Olympic Fine Arts 2008

Two Malaysia n Artists from Penang: Yeong Seak Ling and Yuen Chee Ling invited by the Organizing Committee of 2008 Olympic Fine Arts as representative of the “Excellent Artists of the World” to celebrate BEIJING 2008 OLYMPIC GAMES. Bith artists are awarded a Olypic Torch, Gold medal and certificate.
 

147 women artists presented their works together at Beijing

HER PRESENCE IN  COLOURS VIII-Beijing 2008 - International Women Artists Exhibition

147 women artists from different regions of the world presented their artworks together at China National on 11 April -25 April 2008. The Theme:  Dream of Peace reflects a common mission to promote global peace and harmony.  Dr. Yuen Chee Ling, the Director /Principal of Conservatory of Fine Arts Penang is the original initiator of Her Presence In Colours Exhibition series. She founded the International Women Artists Council with subcenters in Malaysian, Thailand, United Kingdom, Australia and Korea. Vietnam, Taiwan, Hongkong.

To date, Conservatory of Fine Art/ INWAC has organized 8 successfully international exhibitions at the Gallery of Beijing Academy of Fine Art (1993), the  State Art Gallery – Penang (1995 & 1997), Suan Prakkad  Palace Museum – Bangkok (1999-2000), Clock Tower Gallery – Sheffield ( 2002),  Manningham Gallery – Melbourne (2004) and Daegu Cultural Art Center – Korea (2006) adn China National Art Galelry -(2008)
